Shigatse Mosque
Shigatse Mosque was first built in 1343 and money was raised by Muslims that had settled in Shigatse from Arabia, Pakistan, Ningxia and Gansu Province. The mosque was undergone 4 renovations and was badly damaged during the Cultural Revolution. In 2001 the mosques wooden structure which dates back to 1828 was demolished and the new mosque was rebuilt.
