Ningbo Mosque, aka Yuehu Mosque, located in Xihouying Alley of Haishu District beside the Yuehu Lake, is the sole mosque in Ningbo and East Zhejiang area. The structure of Ningbo Mosque dates back from 1699 A.D., the period of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty.
This mosuqe was listed as a cultural relic protection site of Zhejiang Province in July, 2011. Due to its religious heft, Ningbo Mosque hosts Islam Society of Ningbo.
Ningbo mosque is within walking distance south of Ximenkou Station of Ningbo Rail Transit. Around Ningbo Mosque concentrates the major local Hui community.
