On the foot of the magnificent Tianshan Mountain and at the northwest of Hejing County in Xijiang Uygur Autonomous Region, there locates the beautiful Bayanbulak Grasslands. It is the second largest grassland in China with an area of 23,000 square kilometers. This is an alpine prairie with an average altitude of more than 3,000 meters above the sea level.
