Qinghai Lake

Qinghai Lake is the largest salt water lake in China. It is Located on the northeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and covers an area of about 4,500 sq km. The weather there is very cool making it a great resort to escape the summer heat.
Qinghai Lake has beautiful scenery, surrounded by great snow mountains. Between the mountains and the lake, there is endless prairie. The water of the lake is very clear, which reflects the Snow Mountains are deep like a mirror. The color of the lake changes with time and the different depth of the lake. The lake is full of mystery that some people think there must be a god living in it.

You can take a bus from the Xining coach station to Qinghai Lake. The best time to visit is between July and August, when the weather is warm and rape flower are in full-bloom.
