Beijing Dongzhimen Mosque

It is recorded that Dongzhimen Masjid (or Beijing Dongzhimen Mosque)was originally built during Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), while the existing building was constructed in the Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) before it was moved to Dongzhimen. 

The temple now is in the form of a quadrangle courtyard including several main buildings, such as the prayer hall, Erdian House, Baoxia House, the Kiln Hall, the Wing-room and other facilities existed in the hall. The prayer hall, the Baoxia House, The kiln hall are respectively located in the west, front and rear side. On  the south and north side are the two Erdian Houses. There is an imam room, a water room and offices in the north of the prayer hall. The temple is a very active place for Muslims to pray.
